About Us: We are three high school students: Edwin Lurie, Kayla Van Atta, and Melissa Portman. We have teamed up with a local and highly respected cancer research center called Fox Chase Cancer Center to find a way to spread awareness about skin cancer to teens in hopes of decreasing future rates.

​Our Message: Summertime is a blast! With the golden heat upon us, teens want nothing more than a fun day in the sun followed by the perfect summer glow. That tan may seem fantastic but the consequences can be detrimental. Skin cancer develops at a much faster rate with extreme sun exposure. We want to make sure teens understand the risks of skin cancer, as well as ways to prevent it, and screen for the purpose of identifying cancer earlier, which in turn will help spot and cure it early on.
